Nova’s expert program is for individuals passionate about helping us fulfill our mission of deepening healthy and productive collaboration worldwide through effective frameworks, processes, and tools.

 

Quality over Quantity

In our ecosystem, there are hundreds of templates, but Nova’s Expert program stands for quality. Only the best industry leaders can choose Nova to sell their tools, processes, and frameworks in a digital format.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nova PRO Membership. To succeed in the Nova Expert program, you must be a Nova PRO member. This allows you to fully understand the best practices and resources the digital tool offers.
  • Community Engagement. You are actively engaged with your sector’s community, have connections in your field, or are a key leader paving new ways of doing things.
  • We do not have an exclusive partner in that sector and location.

What are the eligibility requirements to join the Expert program?

We have exclusivity contracts with some of our experts, limiting the number of experts in the market. We prioritize adding leading innovators and experts in the sector over quantity. Our goal is to create a valuable community that aligns with our mission.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a Nova PRO member and fundamentally understand the platform.
  • Have a website or public profile that showcases your expertise or have subject matter expertise and/or deep connection to what you are creating/selling.
  • Have a community of followers on social media, a blog, a podcast, etc (or can show traction)
  • There must be available spots in your industry.

When will I know if my application has been accepted? How long does it take?

Our review process takes between 7 and 15 days. Usually, our team doesn’t need to reach out, but if they have questions, they may follow up with you.

To check if your application has been accepted, go to your workspace settings, open the “Expert” tab, and it will show as “Enrolled.”

Your status will be automatically canceled if you cancel your PRO account.

How can I create and share a tool or workflow?

Ensure you have a PRO account, have submitted your application, and have been accepted. Once you are enrolled as an expert, you can view the tools and workflows you’ve created and generate a share code or send a tool/workflow to a client’s account by adding their email.

What can I create and sell?

You can create and sell various digital products through Nova. We offer different formats:

  • Whiteboard Session: Visual and collaborative spaces where teams can brainstorm, share, and discuss ideas.
  • List Sessions: Collaborative spaces that are flexible and easy to use. You can create training sessions, educational sessions, surveys, meeting templates, process templates, etc.
  • Workflow: A comprehensive process that can include whiteboard sessions, list sessions, tasks, videos, and notes.

These formats translate to products like processes, frameworks, whiteboard templates, and collaborative training classes.

How do I manage my earnings?

We provide you with the flexibility to choose your own e-commerce platform. Whether your clients buy your templates, tools, workflows, or training directly from your website or another platform, you can add a code that is automatically sent once they purchase on your website. Alternatively, you can send them via email, ensuring only the person with the corresponding account can receive your product.

You set the price for your products and manage your sales outside of Nova. We don’t take a percentage of the sale; we simply help you create a digital product in a collaborative and smart space that protects your products and creative rights.

How do we protect your products?

We have developed a distribution feature that safeguards our experts’ products by offering two product distribution options:

  1. Code-Based Distribution: You can create a code to share a tool, process, or workflow, making it available to everyone. This method is ideal for free resources or when you want to quickly distribute your product to a group. The code can be shared among people and can be removed after a short time, limiting potential leaks by restricting the availability period.
  2. Single-use Link: This solution limits distribution as only one person can use each link, meaning you create a unique link for each client. You can share your link by personalizing your own email and letting your clients know that if they have a Pro account and click on the link, they will add your digital product to their library in Nova. Alternatively, you can send the email directly from Nova.

Can one of my customers create a code and share my template?

No, Nova users cannot create distribution codes; only experts have the ability to sell and distribute their tools and processes.

If one of your clients applies as an expert or is already an expert, even if they have expertise in similar areas and access to your tools, the tools and processes shared with a single-use link will not be shareable. However, those shared with a “sharing code” will be shareable.

To limit the distribution of your digital products (processes, tools, training programs, etc.), use the single-use link option when sharing them.

Do my clients need a Pro account to access my tools and processes?

Yes, only Nova users with Pro accounts can have their own libraries. Therefore, your clients will need to obtain a Pro account if they don’t already have one to access the digital and smart tools or processes you are sharing with them. If you share the tool by email, we automatically send them an email explaining this. But if you share a code with them, ensure you clarify by saying something like:

“Thank you for purchasing our product. […] Here is the code that will give you access to our digital template/process using Nova: [CODE]. Please click here to access your Nova account: app.novatools.org, or click here to get a Pro account: https://app.novatools.org/pricing. Only Pro accounts work with expert-domain templates and processes.”

Who usually applies to this program?

The expert program is ideal for experts in specific fields who lead workshops, training programs for teams, or have physical products like books about strategy. These experts are looking to create digital versions of their products that can be easily implemented in their clients’ workspaces.

For example, our CEO, Ro Fernandez, has her own books and card decks and uses Nova to sell her digital products to teams and organizations, helping them implement those methodologies and processes in a more holistic and successful way.
