Learning a new tool is always hard. Some people are curious enough to explore the tool and learn it in minutes while others are more careful and potentially less experienced with design tools, so they will need a bit of practice before feeling comfortable participating in your session.

We have noticed participants need approximately 10 minutes to figure out and test all the features on our board during brainstorming and creative sessions. For those that are curious you can start by watching our ‘How to Use the Nova Board’ video.

Here are some recommendations:

• If you are using a session with multiple resources (notes, whiteboard, poll, etc) share this ‘How to participate in a Nova Session’ video.
• If you have created a unique session, you may want to consider creating your own video and sharing it in the Session Goals/Instructions or on the board to get people started when they join the session.
• Start Small! We recommend introducing one tool during a meeting and slowly start working and managing your strategy and creative process with Nova.
