Workspace templates
A workspace template is a ready-made business setup. It adds a set of spaces and their projects to your workspace in one step, with every session and step already built. You get a working structure for a department or a whole business, then make it your own.
How is a workspace template different from a process?

What does a template copy?
- The spaces you choose, with their projects, sessions, steps and tasks, as they were when the template was saved.
- AI coworker assignments. A step assigned to an AI coworker comes assigned in your copy too. A coworker from another workspace becomes Nova AI in yours.
A template does not copy people. Your copy has no team members or collaborators assigned. You assign your own team after you add it.
Later changes in the workspace that made the template do not change the template or your copy.
How do I add a template to my workspace?
Open the template's link. Its page shows what the template is for and what is inside.
- Under What's inside, untick any space or project you do not need. Select a project's name to look inside it first.
- Select Add to my workspace.
- Choose the workspace, then select Add to workspace.
Nova adds the new spaces above your existing ones. Nothing in your workspace is changed or removed. If you already have a space with the same name, the new one gets a number, for example "Clients (1)".
Who can add a template?
Workspace templates are part of Nova Pro. The workspace owner, a workspace manager or an admin can add them. Other team members see the template but cannot add it.
Can I make my own workspace template?
Not yet. Today Nova creates and publishes workspace templates. If you are a consultant or expert and want to offer your workspace setup to clients as a template, email contact@novatools.org.

What happens to my copy if a template changes or is deleted?
Nothing. The spaces and projects you added belong to your workspace. Later changes to the template do not change them. If a template is deleted, its link stops working, and workspaces that already added it keep their spaces and projects.
